It is said that if you want to transform your life, you must be willing to change some habits. Transformation is not always easy, sometimes they can seem terrifying because you are going against something that was part of your life. The start of something new is always what terrifies us the most until eventually that something new becomes our new habit. Down below I will share with you, 10 of the best habits that helped me completely transform my life.
1. Start your day with gratitude
Just be thankful for all the things that you have. Switch your focus the very moment you wake up for all the beauty surrounding you. Name some things that your grateful for that day.
2. 15 minutes to do what you love
I am a strong believer in making time for the things you love. Don’t expect time to be given to you, we all have 24 hours a day. If you truly love something, prioritize and give yourself 15 minutes a day to do what you love. This is how you get to feed your soul and learn to manage your time.
3. Detach from technology
This will let you gain extra time to do some of the things that you love. It is a wonderful feeling knowing that you can leave your phone somewhere without checking it for a couple of hours. It can truly be a challenge at first, but afterward, you realize how much technology truly did start to take over your daily life.
4. Healthier Meals
Choose to add nutrients to your body instead of calories. Eating healthy is all about the mindset of breaking away from what you used to eat and changing your taste buds to like the food that is nurturing to your body.
5. Self-care is a priority
Treat self-care as a mandatory act of kindness to yourself. It’s how you can function without burning out. As a mom, I learned this the hard way. It is easy to look at everyone else needs all day long, running around pleasing according to standards. But trust me, it won’t hurt anyone if you take a little time for yourself. When you prioritize yourself, it will make you twice as good for everyone else around you.
By now I’m sure you have heard of minimalism. It has taken over the web browsers, and it shows how desperate people are of owning less and making more memories. I am one of them. I have minimized about 60% of my things, and I have never felt so put together. Everything has a place in my home, and I don't own a junk drawer that people have to spend days cleaning. I have lived a whole year with a capsule minimalist wardrobe, and I don't think I’m ever going back to owning more. I was able to have a minimalist wardrobe for my 2 boys, and I am addicted to having a closet half full of the things I love to wear.
Check with your doctor first. Then choose the vitamins that are best for you. We all have different needs but the one thing I'm sure of is that my vitamins have made all the difference in my life.
9. Slow Down
When life seems to be getting out of control, slow down. Take a second to let yourself observe and learn. Don’t rush through life constantly playing catch up.
10. Practice mindfulness
Practice living a mindful life. Be aware of the things you do, and know why you’re doing them. Go through your daily living in that moment and always trying to do the best that you can.
