Favorite ways to unwind

Taking time for yourself to unwind in necessary. It's not something I get to do by myself all the time which is why I had to come up with a couple of things that my kids get to take a part of and learn self-care for themselves. I believe it is important to be an example to your kids and show them how to unwind when they start feeling overwhelmed. Nature walks, coffee dates, dance parties are all something my kids also love to do. They have learned to come to me and ask for my help to do something that they enjoy instead of having a meltdown.

Whenever my children need me or require extra attention, I pause the world around me and I give my focus to them. This might sound a little crazy if you don’t have kids, but I strongly believe that raising children requires leadership because you are their greatest example. My kids always follow and do as I do, sometimes the words just don’t stick as well as I would like. With that said, I make it a priority to sometimes stop everything and take some time for myself just the way I prioritize them.

I hope this list will help you get some ideas way that can help you unwind after a stressful day. I would also love to add some new ideas to my list and would've to hear some of the ways that help you unwind.

  13. Teach your kids something cool to impress them
